I honestly wasn’t really inspired at first. I thought the idea was cool but I had never sewn before and it honestly sounded kind of intimidating. That was until I started
looking at different designs. I was so impressed by how intricate and intentional the pieces were. This inspired me to do something a little more complex. To go out of my comfort zone and do something fun and unique. It was definitely a bit challenging to say the least. I struggled to get the design to line up and kept redoing the stitching, not content with my work. But in the end I think it turned out pretty great! I had to simplify it due to the complexity of the piece but I think that it looks good nonetheless. I think that I achieved the look I was going for. I wanted a pinwheel kind of look with some fun patterns. I think that’ll work this has definitely helped to appreciate homemade clothing. You get to wear your own creations and make it personal to yourself. It has helped me open up my mind to a whole new realm of art. It showed me how important it is to express yourself and that art isn’t restricted to just paint and pencils.
